Concept Sketch

This is my concept sketch for a sculpture of a turtle carrying a bonsai tree.  The idea is a mix of modern and ancient themes.  The turtle will be created out of sculpey and scrap (mostly sculpey), while the tree will be made out of different types of scrap giving it a steampunk feeling.  The turtle will also have plants growing on its shell around the base of the bowl, as if the bowl has been there for a while.  The bowl will contain a small pond with the tree rooted on an island in the center.  The water in the pond will be made out of bar sealer epoxy.
